I'd go with the instructor in the M3. He'd not only know the lines and braking points for the track, he'd also have the right car for it.

Check out
http://www.thunderhill.com/map.html

to see what kind of track it is.

It looks to me like a pretty open course, which would lend itself to the car with the most power...I'm going with the supercharged NSX or the M5.

Thunderhill is my favorite track and I have been on alot of them.
Mid-Ohio is second.
T'hill has everything. It is owned by the SF region of the SCCA. If you get the chance, do it.

Clarification on the 2000 BMW M3 please?

BMW did not have a 2000 M3. The last M3 was a 1999. The new 333 HP M3 is a 2001.

Ummmm....I am going to test my car knowledge and say there was NO M3 for the 2000 model year.

But, no matter what the year, M3 (drivers advantage of course)

I'd like to say the S2K, but this track looks too much like of an endurance course for it to do well. (I hope you weren't too far behind though!)

I'm guessing on the M3, with an instructor who knows the best lines to take on those tricky corners.
