Default testpipe?

Whats the best testpipe to go with an HKS exhaust? And does it still sound good without the testpipe?

Would be great to hear from HKS owners with or without a testpipe...

Performance wise, I think they are all the same.

As long as you don't buy one of the crappy resonated testpipes (ie. Megan) then you should be fine. I use to have a T1R testpipe with an HKS exhaust and it sounded awesome! HKS plus a testpipe is the best sounding exhaust for an S2K IMO. The testpipe gave the exhaust a little more character if that makes any sense. It made it have more or a burbly sound kind of like a 350z/G35.

There are two sizes on the market. 60mm and 62.5mm.

The T1R and Megan are 60mm. Stainless steel pipe, but mild steel flanges. Will throw a check engine light unless you use an O2 sensor fix of some sort.

The Berk Technology Test pipe is 62.5mm, stainless steel pipe, stainless steel flanges, will not throw a check engine light. O2 fix is integrated into the test pipe and places the O2 sensor level with the rest of the exhaust so that you don't run the risk of snaging something on the wire.

We will have another large shipment on the way with a GB coming shortly!

You are right its a federal law.

BTW, I know a few cars that also threw a CEL with the berk pipe, I would rather use some spark plug non-foulers that I have never seen trip a CEL.
