Thank you, All, I'm driving!
Thanks to all of you who have made my buying decision and process so much easier. Your posts and counter-posts in regard to shopping for, buying and owning your S2000s gave me the information I needed to ensure an easy transition to ownership.
I picked up my red/silver 2001 Friday June 15, and haven't had time to write.
Even when it was parked, I kept on going back to the window and checking it out.
I got mine from Halton Honda of Burlington, Ontario, Canada. At the time I placed my deposit, they were the only dealership offering the car at MSRP, with the standard F&PDI, no mandatory accessories and my colour choice. A good dealership experience.
No problems yet, I've barely broached VTEC, and only slight oil use. Especial thanks to those who warned of some of the inherent driving risks. Nothing dangerous has happened, yet!
The only bad thing about all this... I had to put it in storage for two months while I finish a job in the Arctic.
So, a satisfied S2000 owner, anxiously awaiting the end of August.

Ooops, sorry about the colour, I think from the interior out, since it is most of what I see. During the weekend, I spent more time in the car than out. Yes, I did not VTEC till well past 600 miles/1000 km. Though it was hard.
Looking forward to a long drive from the storage place to Edmonton, Alberta when I leave the Arctic.
Someone asked about the location: I'm in Thule, Greenland. It's an USAF Space Command base where we watch space (both near and far). Yes, I am a Canadian, but there are 3 of us here amongst the 600 other nationalities (US military, US civilian, Danish and Greenlandic). An interesting place to work, provided you know that you're leaving after a set time. When I get out of here I'll be heading to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
