Get a mirror.from Prestige. Takes 2-3 days for your eyes to adjust. No more blind spots. Money is well spent.

[QUOTE=Saki GT,May 28 2005, 03:50 PM] And head checks are just dangerous - taking your eyes off the road, and turning your head all the way around at speed (and in traffic) is a dangerous thing to do.

Maybe it's because I don't have the seat all the way forward, but the S2000 has a huge left blind spot with the top up. It's not "small" or "miniscule" at all.

C'mon, people. There's no shame in being honest here. Let's be real.

I still do a quick glans over my shoulder everytime i change lanes. From the first time i rode a motorbike, it has become a habbit i never lost - fortunately.

And the S2K does have a huge blindspot. With the top up it is hard to reverse-park (the first car that i have trouble with!)

I have a MuZ factory Honda convex mirror for the driver's side. I give it:

It's a factory accessory from Honda Australia [as Croker would say: "Oh fellas, remember they drive on the wrong side of the road over there."] Being a Honda part, it's completely indistinguishable as it is "stock."

It was an easy install. It takes a little force to do, and for a few moments I thought it went pear-shaped. I mention this only to let others know not to be timid pulling the existing mirror off.

I'm not making any claim the stock mirrors correctly set are better or worse. For me, the mirror was a good purchase. I'm much more confident making lane changes with the convex mirror.

Does this part ship from Australia? The web site posted doesn't have an Australian suffix on it (.au?). It's definitely one that I've considered, just haven't gotten around to getting yet.

BTW, I am tall with the seat essentially as far back as it will go. Actually, the seat bottom is two clicks forward on the tracks from full aft and the seat back is reclined as far as it will go from that point. It all works out the same either way. I do glance over my shoulder when changing lanes or merging from an on-ramp and I have to lean forward a bit to get a clear shot, visually. I've gotten used to the motion and it's not a big deal any more but the upgrade mirror from a right hand drive model would certainly help.

Have any of you folks who drive the S2000 from the right seat upgraded your right side mirror with one from a left hand drive S2000?

Drive Safe,
Steve R.

If you have a huge blind spot, it's because you don't have your mirrors set properly. My car has virtually no blind spot on the left, and absolutely none on the right with the top up. Then again, I'm not especially tall, and my seat isn't all the way back, which may help some.

These rock for a few $$$. Only drawback is that some people prolly don't like the look of having the little bubble mirror stuck to your regular mirror, but it doesn't bother me at all.

I ride with the seat all the way back so even with my mirrors tweaked as much as possible I still have blind spots. The stick-on convex guys eliminated that.

I still almost always do an idiot check though by glancing back just to be 110% before changing lanes, etc.
