Kind of a wierd post, but it seems to be the design was "tweeked" a little if I recall.
Or maybe it was ME that was tweeked while reading a post referring to it...

Nope, they are the same part numbers, os that makes them the same.

You might be thinking of the third brake light. There was a post a long time ago that was comparing the two and the 02+ one was bigger.
