I drive hard and the conditions around here are usually good. Occasional clutch drop (1/month)? Hard cornering and my rears are still good at 11K.

If your rears last over 10k and you dont drive on the highway, the you dont drive hard.

I have over 21k on my rear tires so far from interstate driving mostly. I see the wear on the rear tires are mostly on the inside edge of the tread. The front tires almost look brand new. I check the tire pressures every three to four weeks. I will replace them soon or early next year when the weather warms up.

My OEM S02's were bad at 13,000 miles I drove on them till 15,000 miles they were "slicks" when I changed them. I replaced them with Firestone Firehawks because they had double the tread wear rating of the S02's and had similar handling capabilities they also cost $200.00 a piece installed and balanced. I have 15,000 miles on the Firestones and they are almost "slicks". Next, I am going to try the Kumho tires. The other tires cost too much to have to replace 2 x a year.

The S-02's are that bad for wear? I heard they were sticky tires, but damn...

The used S2K that I'm very interested in buying is still on the original rubber at 22km's (13,670~ miles) - does this mean I'm going to have to shell out extra cash just for a set of tires right away?

Also, is it worth going to the S-03's instead, or should I be sticking with the S-02's?

Mine lasted 6,500 miles......all four of them. I tend to drive mine "fairly" hard.
