i totally agree. if the s2k comes with an auto transmission, we will have soccer moms in their s2k's making the rest of us look bad. but there is a good reason why honda would even consider offering an auto...there will be more sales since 1/2 of our population is retarded and can't drive stick. go honda

EDIT: i also believe that the reason why the 350z is selling faster than the s2k is partly due to the 350z optional automatic transmission.

I said people that live in Central London and drive regularly would have a hard time in a manual, the traffic doesn't move. To get a 60mph speed limited I would have to drive 4 miles, the maximum speed within three mile radius is 40mph so I want a car with alot of low down torque, not something that needs foot flat for 7 seconds to get some movement. You wouldn't be very good at business if you stuck toy oru philosophies in the sales of cars. Personally I have more things to do than bother shifting gears, I would rather relax talking to my girlfriend than be involved in my driving, I just like to have some acceleration on top and I do think the S2000 looks very nice with a hard top. Most of you are in USA, I saw an article in our papers here today on the new Concept Mustang, it looks incredible, when most cars like the TT and 350Z are rounded it is quite square and looks very nice.

If they do bring out an automatic S2000 I will order a black one with black hardtop immediately!

Shifting, talking, and relaxing and enjoying your girlfriend's company isn't that difficult. It's sort of second nature. A friend of mine bought a slushomatic mustang GT because he couldn't eat or drink while he was driving. I think autos only give drivers' half of the experience if you are a real enthusiast

As you like it. To each his own. It is my opinion, however, that a coupe S2000 with an automatic transmission would so change the character of the car that it would no longer be the same vehicle that we now have. To some that might be a change for the better, for me it would be a change in the wrong direction.

I certainly hope not.

A slush box would absolutely ruin this car.

If that's what you want the S2000 is the wrong car for you. Low down torque is not the S2000's strong suit.
