Is there much of a difference between the taller windscreens and the OEM one I have?

Just wondering...I've got an OEM one and wondered how one of the taller ones would feel windwise. Here's an awful pic of what I have now:

I have several of the taller ones, the separate stock aero screen, headrests and headrest windblockers.

All in all, I recommend the headrest windblockers or good headrests, without them anything else is a waste since the wind in the middle is blocked right into the back of your head. You can get those from S2ki.com store for $20+-. I then have both the rick's tall screen and the Muz version. I prefer the Muz version since you don't have to pull apart your original screen and it flexes a lot less than Rick's version, which needs bumpers. You can get nicer self turning screw heads at Lowe's or Home Depot that make the Muz version look better.

I also tried the screen from windblocker - WASTE of money, sent it back. It doesn't fit the S2000 at all.

I have spent about $400 in wind blocking material (leather headrests, headrest wind blockers, Rick's full size, Muz aero screen). If I had to do it again I would get the AusS2000 headrests since they have a permanent connection and the Muz aeroscreen - keeping my regular aeroscreen intact.

Rick's Aeroscreen makes a noticeable improvement. I went with the 7/8 height version

I have headrest inserts already (Made 'em)...the fact that you can't take down the Muz screen when the top is up doesn't bother you?

During the few seconds I have it up after I put my top back up, I can't really see anything through them...

Hmmm...Am I correct to assume you don't have a plastic window?

I did some experimenting a while ago and reported my results in several threads. Here's one you can look at and it links the other threads:

Really...adding plexi into the roll hoops makes that much of a difference?

I contemplated doing that when I made my headrest inserts but figured they wouldn't do that much because of the separation between the seat and the roll hoop...

Welp, looks like I have something to do with all that leftover plexiglass now

[Edit] BTW, I already stole another one of your ideas today. Stuck an old Radio Shack clock into my radio door

Next time you're out driving with the top down, put your hand in front of your passenger side roll hoop and see for yourself just how much wind comes through there at speed. If I were lazy and hard pressed to do anything at all, I would do only the 7/8 aeroscreen (drilled full of holes) and the roll hoop inserts. Anything else would just be of minimal difference but since I was "experimenting, I did it all. My next mod in this area is to drill my aeroscreen full of 1/8th" holes but I'm afraid of cracking the plexi. A "mesh" controls turbulence far better than something solid.
No need to use the word "stole". I'm flattered that someone else would do the same.

I have the 7/8ths Rick's, but have had rattle problems both raised and lowered. Have taken it apart twice and re-glued everything, but the rattles eventually come back. I do like the look and the effect on the wind though.

have rick's full size and majorhavocs headrest blockers. noticible improvment. just be careful with the fold back larger size windscreens. I had the misfortune of testing full size versus approximate stock size for a couple of weeks. You still get some buffeting, esp. with your windows down, but cabin noise is greatly improved as is your passenger's hair.
