Hardtop only? Not even considering it.

has it been confirmed that the conv will be discontinued?? i think honda is only planning on introducing a coupe version to sell alongside the roadster. come to think of it, if honda's decision to sell a coupe version is to compete with the 350z, then discontinuing the roadster will be counter effective since nissan is planning on introducing a roadster version of the 350z. it's stupid for honda to choose to compete with the 350z coupe and allow nissan to take the whole jap performance roadster market for themselves... therefore, i don't believe honda will rid the roaster version of the S. imagine...a 2.2 ivtec s2200 roadster pumping out 260-270hp (assuming honda tries to maintain the 120hp/L power to displacement ratio)... <drool..>

What a waste! Good thing I still have my pumped up 280Z. I bought the S because of the convertible. Don't seem to make sense that Honda is going to change that. But like I always say to each his own. Only time will tell.

There is an old saying in surgery, "The enemy of good is better". In other words, don't keep trying to make a good thing better or else you'll screw it up altogether! Honda should follow this tried and true wisdom.

There also is an old saying, "He who hesitates is lost".

Or in other words, is left in the dust by the competition.

By who, the Miata? the Z4? They're trying to catch up to the S. The Z is nice, but it's coupe...Engine and suspension work are one thing, but one of the strong points of the S is its style/look. Its a matter of opinion, but most owners would not change the look. Just look at the history of the Z. They had a great look with the 260 and 280, then they screwed things up with the zx. After years of declining sales, they put out the 300z. Now, look at the 350, it is an updated 280, even the interior is retro. So, Honda ought to learn a lesson from the Z, and leave the styling alone.
