thanks, that is the only thing stopping me. My local dealer naturally didn't know or wouldn't check. Sweet. I am in. thanks.

No prob. Next time you sit inside, look between the vents over the radio, you will see it.

Is the thing between the vents only an indicator that shows whether the passenger airbag is off (based on a weight sensor in the passenger seat)? If so, is there a separate manual over-ride switch? Also, does anyone know the weight for which the sensor is calibrated?

I test-drove a 2006 yesterday, and the thing between the vents didn't seem to include a button. (Or if it was a button, it was solidly stuck in the depressed position!)

Thanks!

I believe the switch is in the compartment behind the console and you use the ignition key to enable/disable the airbag.

Thanks DaveOnLI. As an S2000 newbie, I don't know which is the the compartment behind the console. There are 3 candidates I can think of: (1) the silver flip-down radio cover; (2) the quick-release compartment betweent the seats that also has a cup holder; and (3) the locking comparment between and behind the seats. Is it one of these, or perhaps a 4th one I missed?

I was referring to #3 - the top area.
