I did various upgrades on my car .I did have a plan but as group buys come up i wanted to take advantage of them which kinda threw of what little order i had out the window .In the end it has all worked out .I don't think the little stuff such as short shifter,c/f mirrors ,c/f hood and other stuff like that timming really doesn't matter .I do feel a s/c should be done fter 32,000 are up.The one thing i can advise you once you start with upgrades youneed a rehab to stop.

That header on the GB forum looks really good

I forgot but my first mod will be an invisible bra this weekend, and then maybe tint the windows.

It's funny this topic is up for discussion. I've been debating this since I got the S earlier this year. I'm coming from a heavily modded Honda and Acura and was wondering what I would do to the S. I promised not to go back FI so I've thought of other mods. I've kinda just been jumping around-with no real plan. I just love the lines and original look of the S-so prolly no boddy mods. After much debate about Volks and Work wheels I bought a set of 05 AP2 wheels-and absolutely love them!
I've thought about suspension and exhaust and will prolly do these mods. I am upgrading my HU and speakers next week.

I like the drop on my car...I'm lowered on some coilovers and i have about a finger gap all around. I don't scrape on every little bump but i do need to slow down a little when going over bumps.

Peace

Until I start tracking the car (more than 1 year from now for sure), I think the stock suspension's capability is beyond what you can push during street driving. I will mod the suspension when it's time for shock replacements OR I start doing HPDEs with this car. That's why I think one of my first mods might be an Elda roll bar.

Why do we need to drop the car? The S2000's already low enough. I mean, as a daily driver that we want somewhat sportier, wouldn't dropping it be a hassle?

I recall seeing rice rockets when I was younger going right all the way on a speedbump, and then having to turn all the way to the left to not scratch. I've always thought it was retarded. For track you, I understand, but driving on public roads, I don't see a purpose. In aerodynamic and stability terms, I think the cons outweigh the pros far too much in daily driving and occassional track driving.

Not actually having owned a lowered car, I would like to hear other user's opinions without getting flamed. thanks.
For me, it wasn't about making the car sit lower to the ground. It was about closing up the gap between the fenders and the tires. Too much gap is ugly IMO. And getting larger diameter tires alone, to me, does not solve this problem.

good thread

I went this way:
1. clear sidemarkers
2. exhaust/intake/comptech adj springs
3. hoses/valvecover/plug cover polish
4. wreck then CF hood and body kit/ap2 headlights
5. blown engine then polished motor/cryoed/port and polish/up compression

waiting on wheels believe it or not still on stockers

Personally, I'm over the cleared/white lens look. I liked it when I was 16, but as I got older, I really like the stock amber lights....especially when running bronze or gold wheels!

I go more for that clean look.

I kind of feel the same way about the suspension and ride height. The car already sits low, and with 06's, we got 17's on there.

I want to put on some 18's to close the wheel well gap some, but that's about it! To me, the suspension feels really good!!!
well, technically the wheel gap would be the same if you keep to the correct rolling radius

for me I lowered the car first
then a few body mods
then a little audio
then a couple more body mods
then some rims

my car is still kinda stock
