Is there a stereotypical S2000 driver?
I think there are misconcetions out there about s2000 owners. For example, I am 31, and the first thing out out my friends' mouths when I mentioned getting an s2000: "too early for mid-life crisis," "that is an old Asian dude car," "isn't it kinda of a b**tch car?" Only one friend who is a car enthusiast backed up my choice. I have been trying to look at other drivers when I see them, and all I see are 30 something guys and chicks, White or Asian, at least in the Bay Area.
BTW, if my s2000 were a woman, I would make love to it.
Steve.

Bought the S-2000 two months ago and still feel a rush every time I hit the button. So far just an AEM V2 and a Fujitsubo exhaust and Rick's Voodoo knob.

Having been on S2ki as of 4 years today, I can say that I've witnessed a HUGE demographic shift within the Houston crowd. We had a thread on the HouStook forum discussing the topic in great detail while still being politically correct.
We've had several High Schooler and a few young collegiates that started the shift to the younger demographic we have today. However, all of them have exhibited a more mature 'nature' than you'd expect. I have to credit their parents for raising them with the values that the 'older' previous demographic majority is grateful for.
Overall, the shift was relatively painless and has rejuvinated the momentum that was running a little low. The HouStook scene continues to grow in numbers and in quality. We have a good group of people.

I'm a high schooler with an S....i push it, yet i don't race it. dunno why. maybe i'm scared....might mess it up.....but then again is it worth it? but there are alot of S's where i live. Old dudes and women. ::sigh:: no one my age.
you'd be surprised about some of the "old dudes" i.e. how much they know anout the car and how well they can drive. I guarantee Xviper (a vintrage member) has forgotten more about cars than most "mechanics" know and he can drive the wheels off of any car (he was throwing a Kia around corners at last years Fall Colors).

Do you think a stereotype exists for the S2000 driver? I do. I think S2000 drivers are adrenaline junkies, people that like a lot of stimulation. The girls are softball players, volleyball players, kickboxers, surfers, and cyclists. The guys are motorcyclists, fans of hard rock, rock climbers, and bungee jumpers.
19 white male, preppy, sophmore in college... and yeah im buying a used one and could not get one when they were new... heck I didnt even know I could get one until 1 week ago.
My first car was a Acura GSR, second was a 240sx with a Silvia Swap and 15 grand worth of mods, S2000 will be my third car, and a C6 vette will be my 4th more than likely. then maybe I will be bringing in the big bucks and get me a New NSX replacement or Ferrari 360 in 2012... gotta have dreams
