Default they could have killed me

so i jack my car up to further investigate this noise i've been hearing and find that the hex bolts going into the tranny from the drive shaft are almost completely backed out, also there are three missing, and one bracket gone. this all after a specialty shop whom i've always trusted replaced my tranny and clutch. this has me worried about the tranny job. hopefully all is well. now i know, the rest of the work done on this thing will be by me, i should have never strayed from that in the first place.

if you want the name of the shop pm me. it's in the metro atlanta area.

LOL, I think you may have exaggerated the situation a bit. A loose drive shaft will not kill you. Loose wheels or brakes will.

What if he thinks that he has time to pull out onto a road and the drive shaft comes loose and now he has no power to the wheels? All the time a speeding 18 wheeler is coming his way and doesn't have time to stop! OUCH! You are right, that loose drive shaft might not kill him but that 18 wheeler might

That sucks.

Just make them fix it. Make sure they use new bolts, too. Tell them they owe you some money back. See where it goes.

PM me about your shop - I'm in Atlanta

I brought my car in for the first time to get tuned on the dyno at Mainstream Performance and my tuner noticed that my car was acting weird on the dyno and we found out that 3 bolts had popped out of my driveshaft and another was loose enough to turn with a bare hand.

That's a load of crap. If a driveshaft disconnects from the transmission at highway speed it most certainly could kill. I've seen cars flip onto their roofs at the dragstrip from driveshaft failure. Rolling a car on the highway most certainly could be fatal. I'd be royally pissed at the shop responsible.
