Autoexpress in the UK just tested locking wheel nuts. Go here, pick product tests, then locking wheelnuts. (Couldn't get a direct link to work - sorry!)

The S2000 wheels leave the nuts proud, and more vulnerable to attack than most, but a decent set of locking nuts should help. As the test shows though, most are junk.

sorry to hear about that.

and I agree with cthree - definately just a deterrant if nothing else.
so, can I help you out with some wheels from HRE or Kinesis? I can only sympathize with this incident and give you the best deal I can. But if you want stock replacements, I'm sure that someone will sell their wheels/tires for ~800 + shipping.

Hey- good article on the lug nuts... Any idea what the "Honda" brand are? They look similar to the McGard series.

s2oooboy:

I have a friend that used to live in that area (Kits/UBC) and his car was broken into twice in the span of a few months. All those punks took were a pair of shoes and a junk laptop. Crime occurs everywhere, I guess that's why Vancouver's insurance rates are pretty high.

I'm not sure if my insurance will replace the stock rims with a new set, or if they'll cut me a check for the equivalent cash amount...?

They should cut you a check for the retail value minus your deductible.
