Thigh Support
In a previous post Allan Haggai had a suggestion for raising the front of the seats to give more thigh support. I tried it and like it much better and would like to share the following additional info.
The bolts you will need are 8 mm by 40 mm long. Be sure to get the coarse thread (1 mm) vs fine (0.75 mm). 2 for each seat. You will need 2 8mm flat and lock washers as well. It is not necessary to remove the seat, just loosen all 4 mounting bolts, remove front bolts and insert spacers. 3/8 flat washers make great spacers and you can use the number that gives you the best comfort (5 washers is about 1/2 inch so get a dozen or so). You may want to spraypaint black the bolt head and washers if you are persnickety.
Allan correctly points out that this will raise the part where your butt sits about 1/4 inch so if you want to have more thigh support w/o raising the height you should remove the seat and bend up the tabs around the rear bolt holes to lower the back end.
