Default Thinking about purchasing a s2k

I have about 25k to spend on a used or new car. I am really interested in the s2k. I can deal with it being a daily driver as I really want a nice sports car, rwd, prone to oversteer haha. I am most interested in the AP1 chassis s2k's. What type of condtion should i expect for a s2k in the 20k to 25k range?

Are there any other cars that i may be in the market for?

For around 25k you should be able to pick up a low mileage 03. Up at the top of the forum the FAQ section has some great info on the differences in the model years etc. Good luck with the search, drive it a few times before you buy it.

Other cars than an S2000? Nah.

You can pick up an 03 with 15K miles like I did for around $22K in the Chicago area....

Try looking in the midwest .....BTW where are you located?

It's cold and snowy and dealers will make a deal like no other time...I was able to bring the 25K price tag down to 22K.......the car is complete stock in mint condition and was checked out by a body shop for any conceled damage......it was fine.

you will find a kick ass car for less than your budget for sure if you search in the cold mid-west.

That's more than what some dealerships are asking for(25K), but you have one advantage that it's someone you know.....
You can get dealearships in the NW suburbs of Chicago to unload an 03 for 22-23K cuz the can't move the cars as fast in the winter......
did you search cars.com for all areas?
or you can do a seach within 100 miles of zip 60047

Theres a 03 red with 8500miles asking 24,995......
02 yellow with 49383 miels asking $20,985....

IF you buy an 03, you are getting the warranty , and a newer car for paying a little more...its definately a better buy.. An extended 3 year waranty can run $1500-2000.

I'd get a small loan and get a new one.

Well that all depends on the person, I opted for the pre 04's cause I dont like the 04+ rear bumper and tail lights as much
