thinking of a S2K....choice of color
Hi guys I am seriously thinking to get a S2K, and currently I own a Black TSX and I almost drive it everyday. But as all of u know Black paint is a PITA. Hard to keep clean and show a lot of swirls, etc.
What about a White, Yellow and Silver S2K? Are they easier to maintain than black?
I would appreciate any comment from these colors owners
Thanks!

Although I REALLY wanted a Laguna Blue S2000, I ended up with a Silverstone. It hides dust fairly well but I don't think any color can hide the dulling effects on the shine. My color looks significantly better after a wash and wax (even the cheap wax).
I think white hides the swirls really well, I have a white 1995 discovery and it's easier to notice the swirls on my sebring silver than on the 15 year old paint in the disco. I do take better care of the paint on the S2000(decent wax compared to the cheapo stuff for the disco).
But really, f that, just go with the color you like best.

I love GPW, but some people knock on it because well.... a lot of people like it.
Not a fan of berlina black/suzuka blue
Silverstone looks great, but 90% of the s2k's I see around in the east bay seem to be silverstone. (Infact I know of at least 3 here in San Ramon, CA).
Spa Yellow/NFR are cool and look good but... those colors are cop magnets and let's be honest, sometimes we like to make our cars move and the less amount of legal attention the better.
I think both apex and laguna blue are sexy.
Keep in mind GPW/BB are going to be the hardest to keep visibly clean, however at least BB hides rock chips well. I'm starting to get fed up with northern californias roads, as it looks like my left fender got acne. Definitely getting a clear bra when/if I have the money to repaint.

I've had cars of just about every color (with a few repeats!): black, silver, red, white, yellow, blue, dark grey, etc.
By far the color that seems to have the best mix of hiding dirt, hiding swirls and nicks, staying "clean looking" even when it needs a wash is silver - particularly a metallic variant.
Light colors do some of this well too, but show off all the dark blemishes like road grunge/tar, bugs. My only yellow car was my Z06 which was a special two-stage paint, so it had a kind of metallic sheen to it (not sure about the S2K yellow[s]).
Black can be the most stunning color, resists dark blemishes, but shows off paint imperfections and swirls, plus loses that edge with just a light coat of dirt (it gets really "flat").
If my previous hadn't been yellow, I would seriously have considered that color, but I also really wanted a red interior, and I find that more appealing on black/silver and white.

That being said, we now have two black cars. One is metallic and that helps hide swirls and scratches much better than solid black.
I'm a lot more relaxed about letting cars be dirty, but man they look great when they're clean!!
