Thinking Of Used S2000
The car I'm considering is lowered I'm not sure what kind of springs it has but I really don't like the wheels. The wheels are tmw sniper 10 spoke in 18 not sure the offsets or width they seem to have no problem with rubbing but then again the car has not been driven very much or very hard. The owner painted them black the car is silverstone on red. This is my dilemma finding new wheels. I'm not sure if I should save my money and just refinish them back to original or dish out for some new rims. I've read many many posts regarding size, brand and offset. I was thinking of either the BBS LM 18 or 17 or the Volk LE37 in 18. Man my head is spinning going through all the posts regarding wheels. Plus I've been surfing many wheel manufacturers sites looking for a set of rims with the correct offset. Do the Volks take along time to ship? I don't want to wait half a year for a set of rims. I wouldn't mind the OZ superleggra's but I see shamu from Van. has them. Plus I think the color is to close to the body clr. do you know if the make them in super silver like in europe?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It seems to me that your main concern is the wheels, when it should be the car itself. I would judge the condition of the car, and the price for a new set of wheels, and weigh that against a brand new S2k...what would you rather have?
I'm just saying that if the car seems to be ok (test drive it!) and you like it, I'd say go for it. But if the price is above $35k, I'd say get a new S2k and break it in, and mod it yourself. You can most likely get a S2k for MSRP, and buy rims and lower it for it for a little above $35k.

Thanks for the reply. I've driven the car a couple of times. Once when it was stock and more recently with some mods. It has 14000KM about 9000 miles and the owner will getting a new top with the glass window. The owner has installed a Spoon air filter and throttle body, Spoon lower, upper and rear braces, Spoon exhaust, flywheel and clutch. Plus some other Spoon accessories. Carbon front lip. It also has a pretty expensive stereo sub built in the spare, tweeters and a couple of amps in the jack space and alarm. I'm guessing your quote of $35K is $US. This car is substantially cheaper and close to new condition. It has a couple of door dings which will be fixed before I buy. I've thought about the 350z but the cost is way more than this car. A brand new s2k is also out of the question since the price is also much higher. Even if I buy rims the cost will still be much lower than the cars above plus with all the Spoon goodies it seems to be a great deal. That's why my question was mainly about wheels.
Plus the great feeling I get driving this car is well worth it. I'm really starting like the s2k more & more.
By the way did you know the new track model 350Z is about $7000US cheaper in Canada than the US.
