I would like to get one in Silverstone, but I am concerned that the paint color will not match. My car looks great, but I cannot tell if there's an fading that would make the freshly painted look off.

Have you had any experience with this?

it will not match perfect even if you bought it the same day. I had the whole oem kit on my 01 and although the average person cant tell, a spa owner can tell it was diff. So dont sweat it. On Type R int, the bumpers dont even match. there ya go.

TurboVtk,

I do trust you. I'm just looking for a variety of opinions. Thanks for your input.

02spa thanks for the reply on the video. Yeah even if you get them the same day it will be a tad off cause they are not painted same day same person not even same paint mix, now if you paint it together with the car diff story. On silver though not a big ass of a prob as in spa, hard color to match.

LostWaffle, I just installed an OEM lip a few weeks ago on my '00 Silverstone and it matches perfectly. I've got 64,000+ miles and no garage, so its seen plenty of sunshine. I'd think fading and color matching would be more of an issue on yellow, red, or blue. Another reason I love silver.

my car is a year old and I installed a used lip a few months ago - match is perfect, and blue is a 'weird' color when it comes to matching
