Mercedes Benz will only put synthetic oil in their vehicles and the MB dealers must use synthetic for customers oil changes.
Also, if anyone uses Mobil 1 synthetic, go to Pep Boys and ask for their MADD calendar. The calendar costs $1.00 and has coupons in it. One of the coupons is for Mobil 1 Synthetic Motor Oil. BUY 3 quarts and get 3 quarts FREE !!
This is a no brainer. I am from NY and I read it on a thread from someone in Texas. The coupons are good till 12/31/05.
I purchased a few calendars and will start buying my oil soon.
I have been using Mobil 1 since first oil change. I use the 10w30 per the Honda manual.

I used to put Mobile 1 Synthetic 15W-50 with Pure One filter. Now I am using
amsoil 0W-30 with Pure One filter. Its little off a topic but I have heard some user
at Japan use 0W-5 oil called Neo (if I remeber correctly). I can't remeber the
specific price for that oil but it was very very expensive. Its suppose to increase
the response.

Changed my oil at 1,000 miles to a 0-40 synthetic (pentosynth) with a Mugen oil filter (figured I would try it out) and have had no problems (now have 4,500). Any one else dumb enough to spend that kind of money on a filter?

i don't believe you are supposed to change your factory oil at 1,000.
then it is recommended to not run synthetic until about 12,000.
and you my friend, might be the only person on this board running the mugen filter.
