Just kidding! He (the cop) was probably really stressed with you going so fast. . .

You were not "respecting his authority!"

 

65 in a 35 is pretty serious; depending on the state, that may qualify as Reckless Endangerment, which should get you arrested (and license suspended) on the spot.

Save the flying for roads (ie. highways) designed for it.
