min,
well make sure you have a bag first.
then, turn the board so the edge is facing teh sky. then stick the board in as far in the footwell as it will go, then manuaver it so the board is going between the roll hoops. (must put the windscreen down)

Well, I hit the surf when it's worthwhile here along the panhandle, but I have a Explorer Sporttrac for that. Didn't think about you Cal-e-forn- ians (Arnold's version) where out of nowhere popcorn TStorms isn't so much an issue. You'd be risking it here with our weather here in Flarduh with a possible wet interior.

Good Point. In Virginia Beach it either rains all day or doesn't rain at all. I think the Cal-e-forn-ians need to worry more about getting ash in their cars instead of rain. I'm sure a few of them would sacrifice the wet interior if it would rain!

Here's a rain dance for you guys!

I don't know if a surfboard would fit, but when I need to carry my guitar case with me, I slide the passenger seat up and stand the case up vertically behind it. That way, if I need somone to ride with me, they still can.

If you got a trailer hitch attached, you could rig up a rack that could hold your board. They sell bike racks just about everywhere that plug into a trailer hitch. That way you could get a couple of boards in your car, and still have room for another passenger. You could put the top up, too.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone use a trailer hitch system for carrying surfboards - anyone ever seen that before (on any car)?

It is a good idea, I guess. But.....there is no ing way a trailer hitch is going on my S!
