Duh... you have an '05. '05's didn't come with the all aluminium shifter, only MY '00 and '01's did.... like mine. If it were the stock aluminium '05 knob it would have leather around it.....

A TI knob should not be heavy it should be vary light i hade that one on my car it weighs a ton i now have the T1R one it weighs nothing very light 
The factory titanium knob is solid and considerably HEAVIER than the equivalent aluminum one.
