Was going about 80mph and zoomed by a cop. I looked back and saw his lights start to flash, so I thought he was coming for me. Luckily there was traffic and he couldn't pull out of the median. So I zoomed to 90-100mph and got off on the first exit I saw. I know I was putting people at risk weaving in and out of traffic, but the thing is, I legitimately thought he was coming for and I'd do anything to make sure I dont get caught. Sorry but thats the honest truth.

i seriously hope that you get bagged so freaking hard some day.

to make the statement "I'D DO ANYTHING TO MAKE SURE I DON'T GET CAUGHT" makes me sick to think that I, or someone for whom I care, may, at some point be on a road anywhere near you!

way to brag about being a stupid ass MF'er!

It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow but someday, you will either be caught, killed or kill someone else.

Why run away? If you speed and get caught, own it, pay it and move on. Don't take unnecessary risks with your life or others by evading. What do you think would have happened if you got caught trying to evade?

Was it worth it?

2 incidents. This isn't recent. It happened like 5 years ago. It wasn't in the S2000. First incidence was in my sister's Ford Contour. (and the story is similar to YellowS2knVA).

I was doing about 90-100 mph down I-35 shortly after crossing the OK/TX state line (everyone speeds there) and then I saw a cop traveling on the other side. He saw me, made a U-turn and start flashing his lights. There was a huge grassy median separating the two sides and since I was going so fast, I took the first exit available and pulled into a gas station. I was refueling the car, and a cop drove by just staring at me. I think it was the same cop.

I was a kid, and there were no one near/around me at the time. It was risky and I shouldn't run from the law, but I was a kid.

After refueling, I did the speed limit all the way to Dallas.

2nd incident, actual ticket for speeding.
I was coming back from TX during Memorial day weekend and got caught speeding in Oklahoma (same I-35) for doing 92mph in my pickup. First offense, ended up paying minimal speed over the speed limit, no points on the record/insurance. (I think it was around $75).
I'm guessing but, had I been in my S, the story and $$$ may differ.

Location probably had a lot to do with it as well. In OK/TX, there's just soooo much empty flat lands/roads and the regular posted speed limit is like 75 mph and general rule of thumb is that you are allowed 10 mph above without getting caught for speeding.

I don't find what YellowS2knVA did offensive. And I'm not just standing up for a fellow Mid-A member, but he did state what he went through and I don't think he was bragging in anyways.

I wasn't bragging. I was just sharing my experience. That's what the thread asked for.

Hope no-one else gets offended. If so, maybe the MODERATORS should close and remove this thread.

just my 2 cents.

I am a Deputy Prosecutor and the last time I commented on this list about tickets I got flamed so bad I promised myself never to do that again. Here comment is superfluous, the post speaks for itself.
