Congrats from the other side of the atlantic
Our engines in the UK dont last anything like that, ours tend to pop between 90k and 110k on average, but I think I know why.
Ive just come back from a holiday (vacation
) to Orlando in Florida, and I was amazed how straight and long your roads are with no round abouts or twisty roads in sight. Over here we have twisty roads every where apart from the motorways (highways) , the the temptation for high reving, hard cornering is just too great, hence why our engines dont last too long.
Mines currentley on 78k on a 1999 AP1 so hopefully I have a few miles left
Heres to 300k

For several years I lived in a mountain community that my father-in-law (from Switzerland) compared to the Alps. My car and I became "one" on those roads. The kind of roads that you drive so much you know every turn by heart. Yet every straight you drive just a little bit faster, and every turn brake just a little bit later, and enter just a little bit hotter, letting the car slide just a little bit further until you have one of those "oh yeah, I'm not Jenson Button" moments where you hit a little water runoff or gravel, or a deer runs across in front of you and you almost drive off the side of the mountain and die.
Not to mention the weather conditions that this car has driven in from sliding around in the snow to 110+ degrees living in Las Vegas and AZ. Have you done a full throttle 1-3 run in 110+ degree weather? It sucks and you can feel the power loss, but I do it anyways and the car never complains.
Im sure there is good driving roads over there, I did visit new york too but not many driving roads there either
.
I only spotted 1 S2000 in 2 weeks and it was an AP2 parked up in a Hotel in Orlando covered in bird poop.
Where do you guys hide?
Loads of Mustangs about though.

Awesome achievement! Zzyzx is a pretty cool place. For anyone who drives out that way, there's a University desert research station there. Did some research there myself. You can climb the mountains and get an awesome view at sunrise at the top.
