time of delivery from build date.....
Four weeks is a good guess. Those of us with very early MY2001s had to wait twice as long because Honda did the seat belt recall before sending the cars to the dealers. My car was built 23 August 2000 and delivered to the dealer abut 27 October 2000.
My MY2001 was built in October and I bought it in late January. It didn't sit at the dealer but about a week.
I don't have the actual build date, just the MM/YY on the driver's door post sticker.

Another datapoint: My door jamb shows 5/00, but my Dealer didn't get the car until the end of September!
Now I'm sure cars are queued up - waiting for a full load - before being shipped over here, but I'm still very curious why my car took ~four months to arrive. It would have been nice to find that my car got pulled at the last minute to get the new clutch and seatbelt retractors, but it doesn't look like this happened (I think I've got the deceleration noise and American Honda confirmed that my VIN has been recalled for the seatbelt fix). Oh well, I guess I'll never know.
Sorry for going off on a tangent here.
