I know a guy that builds S2K's clutches.
Me and my friends use them on corollas, 240's, etc etc for track and drifting.

I can't speak for Exedy because no one responded to my post on Exedy vs ACT, but I went with ACT for the clutch and pressure plate and a Comptech lightened flywheel because it was cheaper.

I'm SC'd with 4.57 gears and header and I'm very, very happy with the new clutch setup. The pedal effort is only slighter stiffer than stock, driveability is unaffected, throttle repsonse seems better, and acceleration seems improved. No more slipping too.

My shop recommended Exedy and said they're setup is pretty tough, but I don't plan on serious racing (just occasional auto-x's). They also said that the ACT clutch is really just a painted Honda part, and that the pressure plate is just a Honda part with extra springs to add extra pressure (I think they said springs). They said Exedy's makes their own stuff from scratch. Don't know if these are facts or not.

id say go for the spec clutch..either the stage 1 or stage 2 with the lightweigt pressure plate option...then get the comptech flywheel

http://www.specclutch.com
but a lighter Pressure plate and lighter flywheel is a good combination? or there are ilde problems?

This is true; Exedy also supplies a lot of OEM clutches and aftermarket clutches to both automakers and other aftermarket companies.

I suggest the ACT pressure plate, stock clutch, and comptech flywheel setup, wether it be N/A or FI. Many owners like this combo and hardtopguy a sponsor here had a special on this complete clutch setup, saving you 33%.
This is an awesome setup. I've installed this and Exedy setups in lots of s2k's, S/Ced and N/A. IF your considering Exedy, I'd try to find someone who has it and drive it first. It's a good unit, but very grabby and sucks for the street unless you're a refined stick driver. I hate it and would never buy one.

How much does that setup cost total including new stock clutch and labor? What kind of a shop would I have to go to install such a setup? Would just any transmission place do? or should I look for a specialized Honda place?

You would have to purchase everything seperatly becasue i think hardtopguy sale had ended. It would cost u around $1290. Im also having my clutch done as we speak, however im stiking with the stock setup because im low on cash. Lucky for me a reputable Honda dealerhip is working on mine,i worked out a deal with honda about my tsb 54 so they are taking care of labor while i pay for parts. I was quoted from other shops and dealers from 600-900 for removal and install.
