i think its the green content that fades. are the colors are more stable now? that color change is not an issue, probably not.

[QUOTE=Ks320,Nov 30 2008, 07:49 AM] Actually, all cars' windows and windshields do that already ... without the need of tint.

I personally think tint is great for SUVs (because of the sheer size of those damn windows) or large sedans.

5% in the rear window and 15% on the sides.

Pretty much nothing. When I had a civic I would get pulled over for any little thing, tinted windows, no license plate, bluish light, fog lights, car being "too low." The I upgraded to a 1994 Acura Legend, owned it since summer 2000 and was never ever pulled over on it.
Now that I have the S, it's a sporty car + it's NFR so it get a lot of attention. What to do, what to do, lol

you can still modify it, but just keep it legal. they have several carb legal FI kits available.

As far as color fading I think you get what you pay for. The newer (and more expensive) applications aren't supposed to fade and some have lifetime warranties. Pick a shop that's been around for awhile and has a warranty and you should be fine.

Any thoughts on whether or not tints could help deter thieves? If they can't see in without using a flashlight or something they might be less likely to try it. Or maybe hat's just my wishful thinking.
