Default Tips for new RW drivers

I've had my s2000 for about 4 months. I haven't had any of the control issues mentioned in many threads. I think the fact that I drive like a blue-haired old lady has something to do with this... Also, living in new orleans where the roads are natural speed bumps and everyone thinks they are either mario andretti or in a bumper car. What do you think are the best tips for handling the S2000?

Take it to the track and learn how to drive it at the limit there. Much safer than the streets and also more fun. You will learn so much if you do that.

It is purely physics. The rear wheels push the car, the front wheels steer. If you have a total of 100 units of traction and 50 are going towards accelerating (pushing) and 50 towards steering, then you are control and have used all your units. If the split is 75/25 then you are in a skid or spin. If you are really someone special maybe you are in a drift Remember when you brake you shift the weight of the car to the front, hence making the rear tires light on traction and the fronts heavy put some steering into that equation and suddenly you may be driving on only 1 wheel, not good, unless again you know what you are doing. Spend time getting to know your car, she's special, but always remember your the one in control not the car. People are all to quick to blame the car for control issues when indeed it's really them who are out of control. Be smooth.

Hey guys I live in Lafayette. In my opinion the speeds never get too high in N. O., but I don't drive everywhere in that fine city. I have family there and may try to look you up next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Noproblemraceway is great. I'll try to make it to the next open track day. It's $75 for the day. I won't be driving on the track.
