Default Best way to take a U-Turn?

I'm new to rear wheel drive...actually this is also my first manual tranny, and roadster...

I would like to know the correct procedure for taking a sharp u-turn?

1. turn wheels
2. control speed
3. if too much speed, control rear!

Loose is fast. If the car didn't feel loose, you weren't going as fast as you could. The key to steering properly is knowing where you want to be and actually driving there. When you're exiting the apex, you want to be "sliding" towards the outside lane. When you're entering the apex, you want to be heading towards the inside lane. I said to play GT2 because it's really difficult to explain w/o any pictures, video, or drawings. I'll see if I can find some drift videos online.

This is by no means a great video but it shows a nice, high speed drift.

That guy was going fast and the road was wet but he entered and exited the turn correctly. Try and do the same thing but on a dry surface at a much safer speed.

Knowledge,

Thanks!

Now that I think about it...I didn't have the best driving "line"...like you mentioned when playing GT2...
