Default TIR CRACKED

I didnt take any pics and it has already been re-welded, but I thought I would put my opinions in. I have a Version I TIR 63 mm exhaust/ straight not angled out. Well after about 8,000 miles and however many were on it before I got it off the guy on here, the muffler weld cracked off the 2nd piece of the exhaust. It cracked clean and completely off. The only thing that kepts in on was the pipe entering the muffler. Well after getting it off we laid down huge beads of stanless stick- fixed her right up. The rest of the exhaust has already been re-tig wleded but hey I thought I would put this up in case it has happened to someone else.

Wow, that sucks that the weld gave way like that. I have been in the debate with myself whether to go T1R 70 Sparrow or save the money and go Invidia 70mm. I think I might just save the money as they are probably equal in quality and loudness.

It sounded like you for the V1 instaead of the V2. All the V1 comes in the straight muffler.

I would like to see how the exhaust cracked. If you get a chance to, just take some pics and post it up.(pics of the fixed muffler will be cool)

we had a local member in UMW that had a T1R test pipe crack on the way to the dragon. from what i remember, it was actually the 2nd time it had cracked...and neither time was at a weld or anything.

Yeah Version I, I will edit the post and then post some pics of the fixed muffler/ the one plus is that the weld is blue and pink because of the heat from the welder, but yeah I will get some pics up for you AJ

hope this teaches a lot of JDM fanboys that theres bad batches of products from any company and that spending a grand more doesn't mean its going to be perfect. But the risk is much lesser thou with a more bigger name.
