Default Tire, cable , chains for S2000 2002

I have just been offered the use of a condo at Mammoth Lakes, California and I may need chains if it snows. Can anyone tell me what size and where to get them.

Thanks,

Reb

I'll have to double check, but I think the manual says to NOT use chains on these wheels or you risk damaging them. I'm not positive though...if you have that manual handy, might want to check it out.

Read your manual, cables are the ONLY thing acceptable. The original S02's are an irregular size. Go to the store, tell them the tire size, then try the cables well before you leave to check the fit. Personally, I wouldn't take the car. Chains and cables break all the time. You may not be able to stop before a broken cable does some damage to your car.

Thanks for the advice. If I had a choice I wouldn't take it to the snow but in an emergency I will have to have them. I have found cable chains that should do the trick and I will hold the speed under 30MPH if I am forced to use them.
