Default Tire exploded....

at 2 am last night on the freeway..

so i hopped into my stook and off i went. as soon as i got on the freeway i felt that one of my tires was kind of flat. i had a bad tire stem a little bit ago (which in turn ed my alignment) so im pretty good with knowing how the car feels when one of the wheels is off. anyways, since i had just gotten in the car (i was at my friends) and had been driving all day earlier (without any problem) i figured the tire was just a little low on air and would survive the ride home.

i'll try and get some pics up...the tire is pretty much cut open on the side with the hub. god knows how much of those little black rubber pieces inside but they're all over my trunk and clothes. maybe i popped a leak in my tire, i lost all the air as i rode home, and my wheel just cut open the tire...i hope i dont have to get another alignment again.

You drove on the rim and flat?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Pardon me but.........................idiot! Plan on buying a new rim now? What would possess someone to just keep going? Trying to lose control and meet a tree? Just feel like wasting money on a new rim?

I shake my head when I see people doing 15mph on the shoulder with a flat, and now I'm shaking my head at you.

Sorry.

Similar thing happened to me once... not even sure why one of my rear tire was flat. I was on freeway and didn't even realize anything was wrong until I started smell burnt rubber. Thought my car was on fire for a minute..., but then after jerking the steering wheel a couple times lightly, I realized that something is not right with my tire... so I quickly pulled off. Luckily no damage was done to my rim or anything else... tire side wall was nearly disintegrated! Good thing I was so close to the rear wheel so I could "smell" the problem in time before any real damage was done...
