Default tire problem.. talk to me... oh yeah and radar..

So I looked at my rears today... and they are down to nothing.. you can run your finger around the whole tire and not hit 1 tread!.. the only problem is I'm leaving for NC tomarrow night!!! I'll be there on the outerbanks for 1 week..

Dunn Tire has Pirelli P-Zeros.. 2 of them to fit my rear.. but thats all... in stock. They can order the front two for when I get back.. These will cost me $364.78 for just the rears.. mounted balenced.. road side hazard.. etc etc.. all that jazz...

OR should I stop somewhere along the way and get tires... the only problem with this is.. if rain comes.. I'll be limited to 20-30 mph.. I hit a puddle yesterday on the 490 (highway) and the back end kicked out like 6 inches.. and it was a tiny puddle.. it went horizontal across the highway.. so as you can see my rear tires are DYING to be replaced..

what should i do?

oh and what bands do they use as far as radar on the way down there.. NYS is almost all Ka with some K.. anyone know what they use from Penn to NC? and where my V1 is illegal?

Detectors are illegal to use in VA, illegal to own in D.C.

unless you ABSOLUTELY need tires right away, I would stick with the OEM S02's.

There must be a reason why Honda and Bridgestone went to such great lengths to create this custom tire, so the driving dynamics are probably tailored best with this setup.

Please do not mix brand of tires. Stick with same brand and type.

Buy OEM Bridgestone SO-2 tires. Do not drive until you do. Don't risk your car.

I'm sorry, after your car was parked all winter, your rear tires suddenly became bald. I think this must be the very first thread to discuss the risk of driving with bald tires, so I don't blame you a bit for finding yourself in this predicament.
