The OEM SO-2s are different than other SO-2's, and they are specific for our car. Just like a lot of other cars have tires specific for them. They are ultra high performance, dry road tires...as close as you can get to race rubber on the street. That doesn't mean they're the best tires for you though.
Personally, when I need new tires, I'm not getting OEM SO-2's again. I'm going to sacrifice a (very) little ultimate dry grip for better predictablility and grip in wet weather with a tire like the SO-3's. If you only drive when it's dry out, the SO-2's are superb, but there are better tires for rain. Remember though, that you want to get 245/45 rears not the 225/50 OEM size to keep the same contact patch. There are many threads on this...

thanks guys!! I'll be stopping in every city on the way down looking for these tires.. I stopped at firestone locally.. they have 1 rear tire.. thats all.. so next stop syracuse, then binghamton, then erie pa? not sure but you get the picture...
Firestone sells the OEM tires right? or do I have to go to Honda.. or maybe I should have tirerack ship them to NC while im there?
