Hi boyz and girlz. I am going to get my summer tires installed back tommorow since i had winters on for the 600 miles i drove the past 4.5 months. (BIG WASTE)

Anyways, i am wondering if i can do a rotation like this:

Left rear becomes right rear, and left front becomes right front...

A.B
C.D
becomes
B.A
D.C

The direction of th tires stay the same, the only difference is that the outside becomes the inside and so on.

Is there a reason why i shouln't do this?

Thanks a zillion.

if you have directional tires, then you shouldn't, or else...well, the tread will start coming up in the wrong direction. and the car will shutter around 50mph.

Well the ditection is remaining the same, i will be just swapping left to right. not the whole rim and tire by the way. just the tires. So they will be spinning in the right direction.

No, this is the only way directional tires are to be rotated...

Not a problem and you will get more life out your tires, especially if you run the same course all the time.

Good post...

You not going to turn your whitewalls to the inside are you?

Sev, I did it 9 months ago because my fronts were wearing heavily on the insides - by swapping over I was able to get extra life by balancing the wear - it works fine.
