I'm having my car aligned at the shop right now. What are the alignments specs I should share with them?

Sounds like good advice, cdelena. So I guess I should learn to live with a certain amount of inside wear for better handling.

My first set of rears went with the insides burning out first. I was alot more conservative in my driving so I think that actually contributed to tje inside wearing more.

Now that my driving has...ehem ...gotten more spirited, my tires seem to wear more evenly, albeit probably faster than the 1st set, but I'll take the performance at the price of the wear. I figure I gotta pay to play.

(after I put the Mingster FLCB, aka X-brace on. my driving has definitely become more aggressive)

i'll know how much i like the performance of the sumitomos better after i do a run up the mountain this weekend. i've taken some city corners pretty hard and some of the curvy freeway on and off ramps we have in the valley of the sun a lot harder than i ever felt comfortable with on the bridgestones - but the biggest plus is the lack of noise. i'll let you know how the weekend goes.

Increasing air pressure would help. 35-37psi.

The key to a good alignment is quality equipment...

Tenessee...thanks for the reply. It's nice that you find the Sumitomos to your liking. With all the reviews I've read, they are in fact great tires, but always trailing behind the more "max performance" oriented tires. Perhaps they are a more forgiving tire, with less ultimate grip...but sometimes that could be a better thing for drivers as they provide more feedback.

Looking forward to your final impressions.
