Default Tirewear VS Camber

I know adding more negative camber increases tirewear.
I have ran through a set of hankook rs2 (rear) in about 12k with stock camber

now i got a new set of rears with uk alignment and just curious too see how much its
actually affecting inner tirewear.

Has anyone tried to test how much it actually decreases treadlife? Obviously numbers will vary depending on tire and camber but i just wanted to get a rough estimation.

I run the Hankook RS2 on my AP1 16" wheels.

I run lots neg rear camber more than -2+ and my rears wear almost flat. The straight driving wears the inner edge, and all the twisties wear the outer edge. Apparently I have just about the perfect mix of both.

On the fronts I have about half the neg camber, the inner edge does indeed wear faster. Last year I removed everybit of toe and now it is a little better, not a lot, but livable for me for sure, considering the price of the tires.

Camber wear only happens when you drive straight. Slalom, baby.

I've been running the UK alignment for over 10k miles now and I'm wearing evenly across. To be honest, I'd say toe is what will chew up your tires more than anything.

stock rear camber setting is -2.5 i think.

but any R compound tire will wear out faster.

That's why i have the ze-912. sucker refuse to wear out! grips good in rain and dry traction. really happy with it.

I'm running the ZE-912 as well. Just switched from Toyo Proxes4. Both tires are hard as hell, and neither really suffered any increased wear from the UK alignment settings. The added grip outways any percieved increased wear.

If you want to maximaze the tire life, get them remounted about half way through the life of the tire (not rotated ofcourse).

2004-2007 is -1.99 rear and -0.5 in the front. I'll post up my alignment sheet if anyone wants it.

So, what is the consensus on the brit settings on the ap2? I have read that is goes to oversteer slightly earlier than stock us >04, but that it is easier to catch.
