Why not just do what the mechanic at a dealer would do? That is, push hard one way and if it doesn't move, push hard the other way

If you thing the Ti knob gets hot, try the stock aluminum one =)

Actually the Ti knob gets hotter......it's thermal carrying capacity per gram is higher. Contrary to what most dealers say it is heavier then aluminum. The extra mass provides a more positive shift engagement .

The shifts do feel smoother with the Ti knob. As for the heat and cold, get a pair of OMP or Sparco driving gloves!
