Default Toddlers in the S

Does anyone put their toddler (mine is 2.5) in their S?

I have a Britax Roundabout car seat that I am having trouble getting to fit tightly in the passenger seat.

Honda does not offer an airbag disable for 04-05 s2000

With the passenger seat all the way back the airbag could never touch her though anyway.

My wife takes the G35X to work with leaves me with the S and sometimes I would like to go out during the week (I work weekends only).

Any thoughts?

Your Owner's Manual clearly states that children are not to ride in the S2000.
It - pg.19 of the 2003 Manual - reads, in part: We strongly recommend that you do not carry any child in this car. One reason is that your car does not have a back seat, and accident statistics show that a child of any size or age is safer when they are properly restrained in the back seat of a vehichle.
In addition, your car has a passenger's airbag which poses serious risks to children - particularly infants and small children. [Emphasis not in original.]

the guy doesn't need a lecture. I'm sure he has thought about this and is looking for honest opinions on how to do it as safe as possible. We're all adults and sure this situation isn't ideal (or necessarily right for that matter), but it sounds like he's gonna do it either way.

I have a dollar that says he'll change his mind upon reading the applicable portion of his Owner's Manual.

Keep your dollar

I have already read the manual. This is my second s2000 and I do know a thing or two about them.

I also know that many people on this board do take their kids in the S.

Thank you for the concern though.

I got the same dilemna. We should look into the airbag disable setup on the 06s. Its got to be somewhat plug and play.

The cost would be very prohibitive.

New 06 passenger seat.

Airbag controller
Airbag
harness
sensors

Might as well trade in, but in that case I would get a different car.

If Britney Spears had an S2000, she'd probably put her kid in it.

But Britney is in possession of an understandable excuse; she's a total bimbo!
