Default Tonneau cover for Passenger compartment

Anyone seen this made for our car? Searched the threads and got nothing. I used to have a nice one for my 65 mustang years ago. It unzipped to allow just the driver or driver and passenger to be covered from the doorsill down and protected the car from rain if you got suprised while driving or parked. Real nice for cold weather or long distance top down driving. You turn on the a/c or the heat and half of u is totally comfortable!

Luder94 was working on one, but I'm not sure how far he got on it.

I think I will visit a local boat or auto uphostery shop and get some quotes for a nice vinyl zippered cover. with snaps or some more modern fastener preferably of the invisible variety!

I think Rick was doing some work on a cover and last I remember he was having a problem with the cover jumping up and down at speed.Someone(can't remember who)suggested having something sewn into the underside of the cover that would lock into the female side of the passanger side seat belt and help reduce the lift. After that I lost track.

While surfing e-Bay I found this. It looks like CoverCraft is making one. $59.95

Don't think that's the type these guys are talking about.I'm picturing the covers you saw on old sports cars of the 60's on MG's and Triumphs where you could still drive the car with them on.They were flat and nothing to do with covering the winshield.

That covercraft cover works great in the SUN of Arizona. I used it a couple times this weekend rather than put the top up. I drive with the boot cover on and don't like to take it off.

The cover secures to the trunk and holds on even in pretty good gusts of wind.

Back to the main subject. I would like to see a tonneau cover that would help the A/C work better with the top down. I know it is probably too late for this summer, but maybe we'll have it by next.

as i said i am going to explore this and see if there's a possibility to set up a group buy with a professional auto/boat upholstery shop unless somone chimes in with product. Personally i would like to see some non=intrusive way of attachment instead of the typical snaps so that may take some thought. Maybe something that would use the attachments in the rear that the top cover uses and maybe a thin wedge in between the door glass for the sides, well Rome wasn't built in a day!

Luder94 has been working on one for a while, had a working prototype, but ran into some issues and is doing some mods that should resolve them. I'd hope and expect to see something from him by mid to late summer. Rick's was going to be the reseller on it in the original design, so I expect that's still true. And I, for one, am READY for it.
