My tonneau cover lost one of the female hooks. I have purchased the replacement part and figured out that you have to unscrew the parts. However, I can’t figure out how to condense the actual cover enough for the thread to make contact so I can tighten it. Is there a secret or is it just a matter of being determined to make it work? Thanks - Scott
Hmmm, I had the same problem on my 09 a few years ago, as far as the female portion went AWOL. I got a new part from the dealer but I don't recall having difficulty installing it. From you pictures it looks like you have a raised "ring" from the material being pressed into that shape for some time. I would either heat it with a heat gun to make it pliable (or hot sun if you live in Arizona) and if that does not work, try trimming the high edges with a razor, exacto knife, going slowly. You don't want to make the hole too big for the clamp nut to work.
I use my tonneau regularly and my nubbin thing came off too. This is timely and now I know that the part is available. I'll get one ordered and if I can get it on, I'll report back.
thanks for the post.

I'm reposting myself from another thread to share my experience:
Hi guys,
This happened to me as well, and it seems the part is NLA for now, but I wanted to share with you how I found replacement Loxx snaps.
I actually found them for a decent price ($20 for 2) at Guitar Center. Ordered them online and free pickup in the local store. And if you sign up for their emails, you get $5 off your first purchase, so $15. The ones from Guitar Center were actually shallower than the Honda one, but that wasn't an issue for me since I only need the "backing plate" part of the Loxx fitting. If you are in a pinch, I think you can use the shallower Guitar Center Loxx, but then you would have to really force the nut on there.
