Yeah, but there's something fun about ferreting out scumbags and figuring out the precise angle of the scam. Is this a Nigerian scam, title laundering, an example of local genetics (apologies to Georgians but it has happened), a result of an outbreak of airborne ovine virus?

Anyways, the bad news is that it's also listed on Yahoo in Charlotte, Vermont. The good news is that the price is only 5 thousand now!

Nice, sounds like one of those Nigerian style transactions now.

This could be getting dangerous now. It's probably time to bring in Dog Chapman or set up a 60 Minutes sting. I'm going to send this thread to the guy and thank him for the entertainment; the board administrators might want to send him a bill for bandwidth.

Dropped like a hot rock. I did a little sleuthing and found out the name being used is a real person -- located home address & telephone, which is in a completely different area code from the phone listed on the website. I'll bet a little identity fraud is going on as well.

Its a fraud, I emailed him and its the standard reply. Send me the money and I will ship you the car for your 5 day trial. These are so common on ebay now I see one almost every day.

Somoone should report him to the ICC..(I belive that is what it is called...the Internet Commerce Commission?) I had a bad deal on EBAY and filed a theft report with them. They are like the internet police for these scams.

typical scam. owner in one location, car in another.

ask him to provide a picture of the VIN - or ask questions based on the CARFAX report.
