Part of the reason BMW can keep the MSRP high on the M3 and M5 is limited production and maintaining a market. It sounds like Honda is doing the same with S2K.

I beg to differ... I put my golf bag in the back all the time, no problem. I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't pass that test. Although my bag isn't one of those giant leather monstrosities a la Caddy Shack.
I can fit my largest suitcase in there too. Groceries is another story.. just don't stock up on a month's worth of groceries and expect to get it all into the car. I go to the store about once every other week to compensate.
I know it's just a filename, but I have to point out: that's not actually black -- the VGS has its own unique midnight blue (another gorgeous color that Honda refuses to bring to the States ).
god bless cornelius and it's high grocery store density.
You said it man! Jeez, we have 4 large stores within two miles of each other. One of these days they are going to have to widen Catawba Avenue or else lunch time up here will be impossible to drive in.
exclusivity or not, one great thing I've noticed about the s2k is its seemingly invincibility against "the rice".
I have yet to see one riced out s2k (or whatever PC term you would like to use ). I think the only two Honda cars that have the rice invicibility are the s2k and the NSX.
I think the trunk's plenty big enough. When I went to Thunderhill, I still didn't have my extra set of wheels, so there wasn't any point in pulling my trailer. Instead, I packed into my trunk a bunch of tools including a portable air compressor, a softside suitcase, a helmet, a folding canvas chair, a small styrofoam cooler, and my laptop computer.
Considering that no way is this car designed or intended to transport goods, it sure served me well on that trip.
Of course, I could complain that it wouldn't hold my grand piano, but it will hold my keyboard.

Just burst my bubble. I guess one problem of too few S2K's is lack of GOOD black/black pictures. If you don't mind, I'll keep hallucinating black on that foto...
My S2000, which I got in 1999, is one of the originals and will remain rare. Those 'in-the-know' can easily tell the difference between one like mine and one from the later years of production. The more S2000's that are made now, the more experience mechanics will have working on them, and this will certainly be to my advantage.
