I did the rear, and welded on the nut for the front but found that my legs fell asleep so I had to put it back up... I actually like it better.

Maybe someday I'll buy another driver's seat and work on it more... but it's about 1" lower now! you can really tell the difference sitting in my car vs another s2k.

Even with a passenger in the car I can see the difference.

for people that have more money than time Back Yard Special makes a seat rail that lowers the stock seat 25mm(about an inch) or 40mm(a tad over 1.5 inches) for about $230.

I'm 6' 2" and fit in very well. But different people will have different torso/leg ratios. Best thing is for you to find the car, sit in it and test drive it yourself.

I'm 6'2" tall also. For "normal" driving, I fit just fine, but, if I'm wearing shoes with heels and soles of any thickness, my thigh rubs against the steering wheel in normal driving, and I can't heel/toe downshift. I solve that by wearing windsurfing shoes when driving, especially in autocross and on the track.

I can't do the seat mod, because I think that would take my car out of stock class for autocross.
