Default Took off filter cover

Well tonight just for fun i took off the stock filter cover just to hear what it sounds like... Sounds great! well i put it back on 15 min later .. I would think that with the filter cover off there would be no harm except the air that its sucking will be hotter. Is this correct or is there something I should worry about if I do it again.

No harm except for some HP loss, not much to cry about.

Did the dyno have a giant fan blowing air into the front of the car? Even if it did, there's probably no way it could have accurately replicated driving 35 mph or more. I'm curious to see what the losses would be on the street while rolling, since airflow (and temperature) would very much affect the numbers you got.

it had two smaller fans blowing, no where close to 35mph. i see your point, maybe ram air effect takes place and this could actually make hp?

My car consistently trapped 3MPH slower at the track, on a cool Florida night (65 degrees), with the lid off.
