Man I always thought the more air the better. So a short ram induction kit would be shooting yourself in the foot huh. Damn i just bought one the other day. haha

 

well i'm sitting with just a aem filter at the end of my stock intake....if it loses horspower, then should i just go with the aem v2 intake? or the K&N?....i ran a 14.2 at the track with the aem filter, dc headers, and HKS exhaust....what is a good intake for horse power gain if the stock one isn't?

 

it might be slower, but it feels/sounds faster, so i kept mine off. scared to go CAI cuz of hydrolocking.

 

My car does actually feel slower with the lid off. On the dyno, i only lost like 1.5rwhp with it off.

It sounds badass though so I usually keep it off.

 

I couldn't drive more than a mile with my lid off because it lost sooooooo much oomphf!!

 

When I have the lid of my intake box the car makes this tone.. sounds like a test tone you would hear if you were getting your ears checked. It's not too loud (can only hear at idle), but it is highly annoying.

 

mine does the exact same thing...i didn't know if that was normal or not. guess it is. kind of like a hum, right? i swear, the noise w/the filter off shakes some stuff in the car like body panels too...hope nothing's getting loose. i'm starting to hear rattles and stuff, but that might be from something else.
