Thumbs up Top covered by insurance?

My top has the infamous wear holes next to the driver and passenger's head from opening and closing the top. Its also fading and has alot of wind noise. I bought the fix it yourself kit from advance auto but I would love a glass top!

I pay full coverage (1600 every 6 months) so I was wondering if my top were to get a larger "cut" in it if they would have to replace it.

My 500 dollar deductible is already cheaper than the cost of a replacement top, so it makes sense to me!

How about you also find an equally clever way to benefit from your life insurance?
