BTW, for those that do use the 303 stuff, I am told by a 303 rep that when applying it to the top, it should be wiped off and not set to dry.

Is it sensible to use some type of protectant on the inside of the soft top?

I would put a re-enforces vynal, which is a type of vynal/plastic compound that has nyalon interwoven inside of it and is very thin and very strong. Put this material at the top corners of the top where the typicla slit occurs, i would also recommend putting this at the front where the latches are, because that area usually wears out as well. if you would like any more info or places to get that material pm me and i will be more then willing to lead you in the right direction.
RaggTop is a great cleane and protectant as well
