Top down temprtature poll
The AZ crew is having a drive from Phoenix down to Tombstone, and the weather is only supposed to be in the 50's this weekend. That will be one hard ride with the top down, though it is supposed to be sunny. I guess I will just have to wait and see if I can handle the colder temps. I guess if it gets to cold, I can just pull over, put the top up, and catch up to the group.
Hi:
Owners manual says above freezing. Years ago my brother blew out the window on my mothers Crysler Le Baron convertible because he took it down in sub-freezing temps. I have no idea if this would happen to an S2000, but I error on the conservitive side, and only lower it if its above 33. *grin*

The most relevant perspective of this issue is relevant to minimum ambient temperatures when operating i.e. lowering or raising the convertible top, and in turn how the durability of the top's canvas are vulnerable to risk of increased wear and tear, caused by "stiffness" resistance while operating (folding or unfolding) to folding while in cold ambient temperatures.
In conclusion if you park car in cold climate, heat car inside garage before lowering top and before raising top. If you live in warmer climate the issue and accompanying survey has no bearing.
In Pennsylvania I park inside a garage without heat and I refrain from operating top at about 40 degrees and below for car

It depends. If it's sunny, then colder allowed. If wind is blowing from N and if it's dark and cloudy out during the day, probably not.
I also never actually measured the temps. But I do know that if my top is cold it doesn't come down all the way and that's a good indicator of top up or down weather.
Also, I'm guessing in colder climates, w/ every bit of sunshine I guess I would savor the moment.
